This week on The Slog Sweep we were joined by former Ireland fast bowler, current coach of the Leinster Lightning and Irish Women, the man who can only be described as a legend of Irish Cricket, Trent Johnston. Trent joined us in-studio where he chatted all things about his cricket career, from his memorable moments in green, to his latest roles observing from beyond on the rope. We are also delighted to welcome again George Hook onto the show as he takes up position as weekly presenter of The Slog Sweep.
'Club Corner' had its tenth visit as Club President of Sion Mills Cricket Club, Michael Kennedy chatted to us on the phone on the eve of their 150th anniversary this weekend. We also hear from Ireland U/19 Coach Ryan Eagleson as he chats to us after Day 2 of the ongoing series with the Netherlands in Dublin.
Pembroke's Meg Kendal came into studio to review her team's successful Senior Cup Final win over YMCA last Friday. Man-in-form Andrew Balbirnie joined us from London to discuss his century-filled couple of weeks. And as usual, we are 'Around the Grounds' with our three correspondents, Barry Chambers, David Holmes and Ger Siggins.
