2015 NCUCA Membership Benefits

After a very successful year in 2014, the NCU Coaches Association (NCUCA) will once again be working in conjunction with the Cricket Ireland Coaches Association (CICA) to meet the needs and increase the standard of coaches within the union. The NCUCA is continuing to grow and 2015 is expected to be a huge year for the Coaches Association, with some great opportunities for all members being provided throughout the year. 

Just some of the benefits members will receive throughout 2015 are: 

The Inaugural CICA National Coaching Conference 
Including: Workshops, Seminars, Forums and opportunities to get new drills and insights into coaching practices, including Q&A and networking opportunities with keynote speakers and massive names in the coaching world, as well as Ireland Head Coach Phil Simmons and other national coaches. 
NB: As a CICA member you will be invited to attend this prestigious event as a significant discounted rate, along with the option of a hotel room in Dublin for the evening. 

8 CICA Workshops (2 in each union)
CICA will be delivering workshops with National Players and Coaches at local cricket clubs throughout the year and the content involved will include some of the following:
- Range Hitting
- T20 Fielding
- Fast Bowling
- Understanding your Players
- Batting Against Spin
- Wicket keeping
- Spin Bowling
- Captaincy & Leadership
NB: Each workshop will also include a Q&A session with the Players / Coaches

The Introduction of New Coaching Awards
2015 will see end-of-season NCUCA coaching awards, where the winners will be in with a chance of winning the prestigious CICA Coach of the Year Award.
Awards include: Young Coach of the Year, Women’s Coach of the Year, Men’s Club Coach of the Year, Representative Coach of the Year

12 NCUCA ‘Playsmart’ Workshops 
NCUCA will be delivering a minimum of 12 workshops with some of the following themes:
- 2 RDS U11 Sessions
- 2 RDS U15 Sessions
- 4 Club Sessions (Both Youth & Senior)
- 2 RDS U13 Sessions
- 2 RDS U17 Sessions
- 2 Playsmart ‘Specialist’ workshops
NB: Members of the NCUCA will be invited to these workshops for free or at a reduced price

It costs just £35 to become a member of the Coaches Association for 2015. An ECB Level 1 (or equivalent) coaching qualification and a valid Access NI check is all that is required to sign up.
Please note that becoming a member of the NCUCA automatically makes you a member of the CICA (and vice-versa).
